🐋 Whale Watching Season in Merimbula
From late May to early November, Merimbula transforms into one of Australia’s most spectacular whale-watching destinations. Watch in awe as humpback and southern right whales migrate along the Sapphire Coast, often breaching and tail-slapping just offshore.
For the best views, visit during September and October, when whales come in close to rest and play in Merimbula Bay. Bring your binoculars, or enjoy the show from local vantage points, boat tours, or even while dining at the waterfront.
