Nestled at the edge of Merimbula Bay, Merimbula Wharf has evolved from a historic coastal port to a beloved ocean dining and exploration destination. Founded during the rise of coastal shipping in the early 1900s, the Wharf served as a gateway for local produce, connecting the far south coast to Sydney and beyond.


Though those original timber structures eventually wore away, a passionate effort by the local community rebuilt the Wharf in 1983, transforming it into the welcoming landmark we enjoy today.
The old cargo sheds were later refashioned into our restaurant and aquarium, helping bring the coastal history to life in new, vibrant ways.

Our Story Continues

Today, Merimbula Wharf stands proud as a meeting place where locals and visitors share unforgettable moments, whether that's over freshly prepared seafood, among marine creatures in the aquarium, or during heartfelt celebrations with ocean views all around.
